On the second Monday evening of each month, we're meeting and having dinner/coffee at the Aroma Cafe in Studio City and discussing the book of the month. We meet at 6:30 pm for dinner and then hold our discussion meeting from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Former Senator Tom Daschle's book, "Critical: What You Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis," is the book for our July 13 meeting. Everyone's welcome to come to the Book Club meeting and join the discussion, even if you haven't read the book of the month.
This Book Club is being done with the support of both the Aroma Cafe--which is reserving space in its back patio for our meetings--and the independent bookstore inside the Aroma Cafe, called Portrait of a Bookstore--which is offering 20% discounts on book club books purchased there. Tom Daschle's book, "Critical," less 20% plus tax, costs $20.93.
